Located in the heart of Corby town centre on the site of the former Tresham College complex, Savoy Corby is a key part of the area's broader regeneration scheme. Since opening its original six‑screen multiplex in 2015, the venue has served over 900 patrons across multiple screens and earned a reputation for value and comfort.
In December 2024, screens 1–6 underwent a full seating refurbishment and installation, followed by the Screen 7 upgrade in March 2025, delivering a total of 588 new seats across all 7 screens.
Seating Design & Configuration
Ferco collaborated again with NBDA Architects to deliver a tailored mix of seating styles that ensure comfort, choice, and brand consistency:
- Daybeds (Screens 1 & 2 – First Rows):
Lux Twin Daybeds upholstered in black leatherette, offering a lounge-style premium experience for couples or solo relaxation. - Premium Verona Zero Wall Linked Recliners (All Screens – Front Rows):
Verona Linked Recliners upholstered in charcoal, providing ergonomic comfort and integrated cupholders. - Premium Verona Zero Wall Twin Recliners (All Screens – Last Rows):
Verona Twin Recliners with integrated cupholders, finished in Savoy’s signature bright red leatherette for a bold brand presence. - Verona Rockers (All Screens – End Rows):
Installed along the last one or two end rows in all screens, these compact seats are upholstered in a soft light grey leatherette, adding variety and visual balance within each auditorium.
Comfort, Brand & Flexibility
Each seat is designed with Savoy’s guest comfort and brand identity in mind—offering ergonomic support, generous leg space, and effortless reclining mechanisms. The integration of cupholders, quality upholstery, and cohesive colour themes ensures visual continuity and practical durability, hallmarks of the Savoy experience.
Guest feedback collected post-renovation highlights a noticeable improvement in comfort and theatre ambience, with patrons praising the enhanced comfort and roominess of the new seating.
Working alongside NBDA Architects, Ferco provided end-to-end delivery—from seat selection through to installation and aftercare. The sequential refurbishments ensured minimal disruption, with Screen 7 timed to bring the scheme to full completion by March 2025.
The joint effort delivered a modern cinema environment that balances functional flexibility with premium appeal.
The result
Savoy Corby represents Ferco’s ongoing commitment to delivering cinema seating solutions that amplify both brand and guest experience. The combination of diverse seating formats—from Rocker and Recliner to Lux Daybeds—demonstrates our flexibility in meeting client requirements. More importantly, our upholstery and aesthetic decisions strengthen Savoy’s visual cohesion across its portfolio.
This refurbishment project reinforces Ferco and Savoy’s shared drive to innovate in cinema interiors and elevate the local cultural offer in Corby.
