Ferco Seating is proud to continue its partnership with Savoy Cinemas in their latest venture: the all-new Savoy Gainsborough, developed in collaboration with NBDA Architects. The cinema officially opened on 18th July 2025, bringing a premium moviegoing experience to the heart of Gainsborough with four modern, state-of-the-art screens.
This new site, built in the grounds of Gainsborough's historic Guildhall, represents a blend of heritage and innovation. The ambitious redevelopment project, which has been closely followed by local and national media, reaffirms Gainsborough's cultural renaissance.
Tailored Comfort and Signature Style
Ferco supplied 315 Verona Zero Wall Recliner seats across the four screens, all fully tailored to Savoy's latest specification. The design focuses on combining superior comfort with operational efficiency and style continuity across their portfolio.
Seating Configuration:
• Front Rows (All Screens): Fitted with Verona Zero Wall Linked Recliners.
• Last Rows (All Screens): Upgraded to Verona Zero Wall Twin Recliners, Savoy's premium offer includes Swivel tables with integrated cupholders, and Cocoon Enclosure panels with reading lights for a high-end, private experience.
The seats were upholstered in Savoy’s signature charcoal-toned leatherette for the Linked Recliners and bright red leatherette for the Twin Recliners, creating a bold contrast and reinforcing the brand’s visual identity across sites. This considered material selection ensures both visual impact and long-term durability, in line with Savoy’s established aesthetic.
Collaboration and Craftsmanship
Working alongside NBDA Architects, Ferco delivered not only premium cinema seating, but also seamless coordination from design to installation. The result is a four-screen venue that blends modern amenities with the intimacy and elegance Savoy cinemas are known for.
