The boutique Arc Cinema in Cork, formerly known as Gate Cinema, is a beloved institution among a diverse range of audiences, celebrated for its dedication to film festivals, independent productions, and foreign-language films. As part of its commitment to preserving this legacy while enhancing the cinema experience, The Arc Cinema undertook a significant upgrade of Screen 6, transforming it into a premier arthouse venue. Ferco Seating played a crucial role in this transformation, providing bespoke seating solutions that elevate the audience's comfort and experience.

Project Scope and Objectives
The primary objective of the project was to refurbish Screen 6, creating an intimate and premium environment that honors the cinema's storied history and commitment to diverse storytelling. The specific goals included:

Creating a Luxurious Viewing Experience: Installing high-quality, comfortable seating that enhances the overall viewer experience.
Maintaining Aesthetic Harmony: Ensuring the new seating complements the interior design and ambiance of the arthouse cinema.
Accommodating Various Seating Arrangements: Providing flexible seating options to cater to different group sizes and preferences.

Ferco’s Seating Solution

Premium Rex Seats with Swivel Tables
To meet the high standards set by The Arc Cinema, Ferco Seating supplied 47 Premium Rex seats, each equipped with swivel table B in an elegant cherry color. This combination was chosen for its aesthetic appeal and functional design, providing an upscale feel while allowing moviegoers to enjoy refreshments comfortably.

Twin Rex Sofas
In addition to the individual seats, Ferco installed 8 sets of twin Rex Sofas. These sofas offer a more intimate seating option for couples or friends, enhancing the cozy, boutique cinema experience.

Luxurious Fabric Selection
The seating was upholstered in four different tones of Sunbury Madison Velvet Crib 5 fabric. This choice of fabric not only provides a luxurious and comfortable texture but also adheres to the stringent safety standards required for public seating.

Additional Installations
Beyond Screen 6, Ferco Seating also installed 492 VZW seats in Screens 1-5, ensuring a consistent upgrade across the entire cinema.
